1. GENERAL
QUESTIONS
Is this site secure during the time I am entering personal or
financial information?
Absolutely. This site uses
COMODO SSL security for all transactions
that involve personal information and financial transactions. Your
browser tools provide you an icon of a padlock during secure
transactions. Also, observe carefully your browser's address bar.
Look for 5 letters including an "s" ( https ) at the beginning of the address; instead
of the usual 4 letters( http ) Secure areas will display an address
of https://www.images... non-secure areas will display an address of
http://www.images....
What is SSL?
Short for Secure
Sockets Layer, a protocol developed by Netscape for transmitting
private documents via the Internet. SSL uses a cryptographic system
that uses two keys to encrypt data − a public key known to everyone
and a private or secret key known only to the recipient of the
message. Internet Explorer, Mozilla, Safari, and Opera support SSL,
and many Web sites use the protocol to obtain confidential user
information, such as credit card numbers. By convention, URLs that
require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http:.

BUSINESS SECTION
INTRODUCTION
How can I use
images that I purchase at Images By Davido LLC?
Images are provided through license agreements for either Editorial
Use or Rights Managed Use. See
License Agreements.
What is Commercial Use?
Commercial (for profit) use license allows using images on the
commercial basis. These images can be used in a variety of ways, in
advertisements; book covers; in magazines; calendars; etc. There are
known restrictions to commercial use images, that is, generally
images containing recognizable individuals or property cannot be
used for commercial use without proper release forms. Also, images
containing logos, brand/product names, and other trademarked or
copyrighted symbols cannot be used for commercial use. See
License Agreements.
What is Editorial Use?
Editorial Use images are generally those photographs containing
identifiable human faces without a signed model release. Editorial
photographs may not be used for commercial purposes. However, they
may be used for news, of public interest or educational purposes.
Editorial rights are licensed on a use-by-use basis. See
Editorial Use License Agreement.
What is ‘Rights-Managed’ Licensing?
Rights-Managed (RM) This means you pay for a license to use a single
image for a specific use for a defined period of time.
Rights-managed images are licensed on use-by-use basis. The fee is
generally calculated using several factors i.e., print run, size,
duration of use, placement and geographic distribution. See
Rights Managed License Agreement.
What is ‘Royalty-Free’ Licensing?
Royalty-Free (RF) This means you pay for a license that allows you
to use the image in as many different projects as you like, for an
unlimited time period. Royalty-free images may be used multiple
times for multiple projects without incurring additional fees. The
fee is based on the size of the image you need, not the specific
use. We are not providing RF licensing at this time.
What is a release?
A release is a signed documented agreement on which an individual or
property owner gives permission to the photographer for the image to
be reproduced commercially.
Are your photographs model and/or property released?
Each image appearing on our web site is marked as to whether a model
and/or property release has been attained. Signed releases are kept
on file at Images by Davido LLC. If you are licensing an image you
can request a copy of a particular release using the
Email Contact
